. THE MERCIFUL VERSES
The cursed Waseem Rizvi writes in his book on Page No 26
“Ibne Sahab writes that once the Messenger of Allah was reading out Surah An-Najm (Surah 53) near Qaba amongst the people. When he reached the verse No 19-20 and recited “Have you ever thought about Al-Lat and Al-Uzza”, Satan (Devil) made him read these two verses. All these three goddesses are comfortable. Salvation is expected through their intercession.
The Influential Quraish of Mecca became very happy due to these words. They discarded the boycott and animosity against Muhammad”.
Respected Readers! This is the objection of the cursed Waseem Rizvi. These are the same verses on the basis of which the cursed Salman Rushdi of the current times wrote a book “The Satanic Verses” which rendered him dishonoured all across the world. The cursed Waseem Rizvi will get more dishonoured than the cursed Salman Rushdi, Insha Allah. An immense literature has already been written down to the reply of the book of Salman Rushdi. The famous Islamic Scholar Dr. Rafiq Zakariya has authored the book “Muhammad and the Quran” in repudiation of the said book of him in which he has very severely rebuked him. Besides, Maulana Abul Aala Maududi has presented very powerful, substantial and exhaustive replies against the Satanic Verses in his book “Tafsire Quran” by the name of “Tafhimul Quran” in Surah Hajj. He has presented very thorough discourse running into ten pages. I’m going to present the gist of the content below.
Let’s read the story at the outset. It says that Prophet Muhammad (Peace & blessings be on him) wished in his heart that a particular verse of the holy Quran should be sent which removes the hatred of the Quraish triggering their intimacy. Once, when he was sitting in a gathering of the Quraish , Surah Najm was revealed to him which he started to recite. When he reached to recite AFRAAYAT…..all of a sudden he happened to express the words like TILK AL GARABAKT…..(These are the highly stationed goddesses, their intercession can be expected). Thereafter, he continued reciting the verse of Surah Najm. Finally, when he performed the “Sajda” (Prostration), all the Muslims and Infidels also proceeded to the “Sajda” (Prostration).
As soon as the migrants of Habsha heard about this happening, they returned to Mecca thinking that Prophet Muhammad (Peace & blessings be on him) and the Infidels of Mecca have reached reconciliation between them.
Let it be kindly known that this story is mentioned by Ibne Shihaab Zohri, Tabraani, Vaaqidi but it is considered wrong by Ibne Kasir, Baihaqi, Qazi Ayaaz, Imam Razi, Kartabi, Badruddin Aini, Shaukaani, Allama Aalusi etc. Ibne Kasir says that: I haven’t come across the seamless chained pattern of the narration of this story from among all the links of narrations. Baihaki says that this story is not proved from the perspective of its narrations.
Ibne Khuzaimah said that this story is fabricated by the atheists. Qazi Ayaz says that the vulnerability of this story is proved from the fact that none of the writers of “Sihaahe Sitta” (A set of six authentic books) has ever mentioned this story at all. Imam Razi, Qazi Abu Bakar and Aalusi have thoroughly deliberated on it and, consequently, dismissed this story.
The inherent ingredients of this story itself prove it to be wrong. It is written that this story happened at a time when the migration of Habsha had already taken place and having heard about this story, one of the groups of the migrants of Habsha returned to Mecca. Now, read about the historical variations pertaining to it.
According to reliable history, the migration of Habsha took place in the 5th year after the Prophethood in the month of Rajab and the migrants of Habsha returned in the same year in the month of Shawwal. Hence, it proves that, for sure, this incident took place in the 5th year after the Prophethood. It is said that Sura-e-Bani-Israil was revealed as a reprimand for the act of Prophet Muhammad (Peace & blessings be on him). It was revealed after the event of ‘Mea’raaj’ (Ascension) and according to the reliable narrations, the event of ‘Mea’raaj’
(Ascension) took place in the 11th year after the Prophethood. It implies that this verse of reprimand was revealed after the elapse of six years after his act. Hence, will any intellectual fellow admit it?
It is mentioned in this story that such manipulation has occurred in Surah Najm. Now, consider the verses of Surah Najm and the fabricated verses of it. You will find that there isn’t any such relevance between them. The translation of Surah Najm is: “And have you ever thought of Al-Lat and Al-Uzza and the third one about Al-Manat?” The translation of the fabricated verse is: “These are the highly stationed goddesses; their intercession is, for sure, expected”. The translation of the verses of Surah Najm is: “Shall you have the male issues; and He the female issues? Now, do you think there is any pertinence between the fabricated verses and the preceding and succeeding substance of verses? Was the entire group of the people of Quraish, who were listening to the said verses of the Quran, insane to comprehend that the subsequent verses repudiate the goddesses after their appreciation? Would they have declared that the dissention with the Prophet had got eliminated? Thus, the internal substance of the said story itself reflects that it is a self-fabricated story. In fact, it can be presumed for sure that it might happen that once Prophet Muhammad (Peace & blessings be on him) all of a sudden stood up to deliver the sermon in Harame Paak where a huge gathering of the people of Quraish was present. At that time, the sermon emerged from his blessed tongue from Allah, the Almighty, which is today available before us in the form of Surah Najm. The impression of that sermon was such that the opponents, who used to deter the people from listening to the holy Quran by creating the chaos, couldn’t find any scope at that time to create the chaos when he began to deliver it. When he proceeded to perform the “Sajda”(Prostration) at the end of Surah, all performed the “Sajda” (Prostration). Subsequently, they realized their mistake. People resorted to taunting them that though you deter the people from listening to the Quran, today yourselves have listened to it along with the performance of “Sajda” (Prostration). Hence, to get rid of such humiliation, they fabricated the statement by themselves as “SHAFAAAT….”.
And they said that we performed the “Sajda” (Prostration) on hearing Muhammad reciting it because we thought that Muhammad was appreciating our goddesses. This is the story of the Satanic Verses which is presented by Satan (Devil) like the cursed Waseem Rizvi making them as Satanic Verses. In fact, Surah Najm contains all the merciful verses without a single Satanic Verse.
This is the real story to which people point their fingers; even so much so that they have formulated a novel also which has, in fact, nothing to do with the realities.
O, LORD! I WANT THE PUNISHMENT TO THOSE
WHO HUMILIATE THE STATUS OF PROPHET
I, AASI, REMEMBER YOU DAY and NIGHT
AS I CRAVE FOR REWARDS IN BOTH THE WORLDS
