BACKGROUND OF HIS LATEST BOOK ‘AZEEM MOHAMMAD
This book is written in the backdrop of a former Islamic Scholar Syed Waseem Rizvi’s wild and baseless utterances against the holy prophet of Islam Mohammad SAW in his book ‘Mohammad’. Rizvi later renounced Islam and embraced Hinduism and now rechristened Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi. Ibraheem Aasi thought that the best way to counter the mala fide intent of Tyagi was through a rejoinder in the form of this book: ‘Azeem Mohammad’. This book served the purpose well and is also a stern message to those who resort to violence on slightest provocation. In religion, polemical debates are customarily done without resorting to diatribes and invectives.
Rizvi aka Tyagi was earlier the president of the Shia Waqf Board. Touted as the ‘liberal’ Islamic scholar, Rizvi had earlier allegedly objected to the 26 verses of the Holy Quran and demanded their removal. This had created flutter.
